Creating the holograms of late-rappers Eazy-E and Ol' Dirty Bastard for this year's Rock The Bells music festival is a family affair.
According to MTV, Guerilla Union president Chang Weisberg - who founded the concert - says the families of both rappers "were involved in the creation of the avatars."
Apparently, Eazy's son, Lil Eazy-E, was used as the model for the body of Eazy's avatar, while the late-rapper's other son, E3, "is the voice." Weisberg says the rapper's daughter, Erin, "is the face of Eazy-E."
Weisberg also says ODB's son, Young Dirty Bastard, "is channeling the charisma of his father" for ODB's virtual performance. While Weisberg wouldn't give the exact details of YDB's involvement, he did say he's "not the voice." That job is going to another family member because Weisberg says "YDB doesn't sound like his father."
The Eazy-E and ODB avatars will take the stage at this year's Rock The Bells, which kicks off on September 7th and 8th in San Bernadino, California. The two-day festival will also make stops in Mountain View, California on September 14th and 15th; Washington, D.C. on September 28th and 29th; and Rutherford, New Jersey on October 4th and 5th.
